If you go back to your search results page, you will also see that you have the option to export your citations to a bibliographic management program, such as EndNote or RefWorks, using the Export icon. This allows you to save your citations to a file that can be imported into many popular bibliographic management tools. Check with your library to see if your institution offers bibliographic management software.

Citation tools (also called bibliographic management tools or citation managers) such as Endnote, Mendeley, RefWorks, and Zotero help you organize, manage and format citations for your research.This chapter talks about Word 2010's citations and bibliography tools. It uses the Style tool to apply a variety of different bibliography styles to an article or paper. The chapter describes how to insert properly formatted parenthetical citations to sources used in a research paper and how to import sources from other source lists. It explains how to insert a bibliography that contains all sources consulted or sources cited.
